Hi Iccanui,

Thank you for posting your resume to this forum! You have an excellent start to your draft. I like your Profile section -- it reveals your personality and doesn't look "cookie-cutter." There are a few areas that could use improvement:

- Clarify your career goal. You have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the computer industry, so narrow your current direction and help employers understand where you fit.

- Edit unnecessary words. Your resume will be quickly scanned, so make it more concise and easy to read. Leading with lines like, "Performed roles:" is unnecessary -- the reader knows that you are writing about your job titles. You can also write in an "implied" first person voice in your summary and remove personal pronouns (e.g., "Self-motivated technology enthusiast...").

- Proofread your resume. Make sure you're consistent with tense usage (e.g., should be "troubleshot" in your most recent job's fourth bullet), correct word usage ("ensure," not "insure" in your first bullet), hyphen use (e.g., "cutting-edge technology), and so on. Also use periods at the end of your bullets consistently.

I also don't recommend including your references on the resume itself. You can copy that information to a separate document and provide the list on request.

I hope this gives you a starting point for improving your resume!
Best wishes,
Kim Isaacs

As always the resume expert gave some sound advice, but I have something Kim didn't touch on I'd like to share.

1) I personally prefer to start a resume with a header that includes your name and contact details (or fake ones for the purpose of the forum followed by your profile. This means I would've switched your skills and profile around.

2) Formatting-wise, I wonder why your roles in the most recent job are capitalized when they are nowhere else. To quickly read a leader along your resume, it's nice to have a clear format. Headers like profile, skills and experience should be the largest and most formatted, then go smaller and less formatted for each step down; always leaving the lowest level no smaller than the regular text.

By the way any idea where the <!----> signs came from?
