I have been working with the local school district for about 5 years. I am currently writing my resume but have worked in two different locations and was wondering how I am supposed to insert that. Should I keep it as one job or separate it into two. I did the same thing in both locations.

Did you work at those two locations for the same company at the same time?

Hi jkg31372,

Great question! The best approach depends on what you want to emphasize. If you have accomplishments that are tied to individual schools, you can include one main section for the school district and break up your two experiences below the main category.

Otherwise, include one section for the district and one overall description (e.g., "Served as a ___ for ABC School and DEF School...").
Best wishes,

I'd go at this the way I address my temp history:  I worked FOR the agency, but I worked AT the contracting employer.

So, I would have one main line: Local School District, March 2007 to present.

Then beneath it I would have two more leader lines, but not with a white space/hard return between them:

Lincoln School, Attendance Secretary, July 2009 to present, follow with bullet list of duties

Washington School, Secretary, March 2007 to July 2009, follow with list of duties but not exactly pasted from previous list.  Surely there is some variance, if only in the rough number of students served, or one is located in a 'disadvantaged area,' or maybe you gained a new duty, lunch count, in the second position.
