I worked for my previous employer for 8 years. I accepted a new position with a different company, and it's not working out. Still in my 90 day probation. Do I list my current employer on my resume or leave it off?

Hi sharebear,

I'm sorry to hear that things aren't working out with your new employer. I would include the position on your resume. Otherwise, you will have an end date for your 8-year position plus a recent gap, and it will look like you're not working. Include a brief blurb in the cover letter explaining why you're job searching -- keep it as positive as possible!
Best wishes,
