Is it acceptable to include relevant work experience in a cover letter but not include the correlating job in your resume? I'm a recent grad, applying for an office position. My first job was a 5-year stint in an office, but I've had several part-time/seasonal jobs since, and have the most recent three on my resume.

Hi JDele,

Yes, you can use your cover letter to reference a job that's not on your resume, but it's not a good strategy in your case. As the 5-year office position is your most relevant position, I suggest revising your resume and adding a prominent description of your office-related job duties and accomplishments.
Best wishes,
