I'm in the process of updating my résumé. I do this about once a year. Each time I go through this exercise I question the format to use for one period of my employment history.

There is about an eight year period that I worked for a company that ended up merging with another company (changing name), then was bought out by yet another company (second name change).

I endured throughout this time and worked my way up from a basic support rep to department manager. The division I was part of was eventually folded and I was laid off.

My question is, how do I represent this 8 year period with its four different job titles and three company name changes? I would like to demonstrate my forward momentum during this period while keeping the details as simple but accurate as possible.
