Having just completed my electromechanical engineering technician program at college I'm now looking for my ideal job as a robotics technician, however I have no idea how to write a good cover letter that will get me noticed at companies who aren't hiring at the moment and companies who are.

I'm completely lost on a cover letter/emails but I desperately need a job and really want to be in the field I just spent 3 years in school for.
