Hi Parviz126,

Thank you for posting your resume to the Resume Tips forum! Your resume is a very good start but could use a bit of editing. Here are a few suggestions:

- Look for areas where you can use more dynamic language. For example, your last bullet under your most recent position leads with, "Familiar with...." Instead, state how you used these standards and how your knowledge of these standards contributed positively to your employer. It would also be helpful to quantify some of your accomplishments. For your QC role, see if you can include measurable outcomes of your quality initiatives.

- Edit your previous position, which is a very long list of bullets. Either remove some of the bullets or see if you can categorize the accomplishments to break up the long list. This will make it easier for employers to skim through your resume.

- "Clean up" the writing. You have language errors throughout and little typos like missing spaces after periods. Be consistent with your tense usage - change all past positions to past tense. These issues interrupt the flow of your resume and should be corrected.

I hope this is helpful. Good luck to you!
Best wishes,

Hi Kim,

Thanks a lot for your time and considerations on my resume.

I would appreciate if you kindly provide me with one or two samples of corrections and clean up as you have addressed

in your last paragraph (listed below)

- "Clean up" the writing. You have language errors throughout and little typos like missing spaces after periods. Be consistent with your tense usage - change all past positions to past tense. These issues interrupt the flow of your resume and should be corrected.

Thanks again and sorry for any inconvenience that this request may bring to you.

Respectfully,

Parviz126

Hi Parviz126,

You're very welcome! Sure, here are a couple of examples so you can see what I mean:

In the first sentence ("Detail-oriented electrical engineer..."), there is no space after the period that ends the sentence. Also, in the next sentence, "carrying" isn't a good word choice. Maybe change to: "Offer 20 years of experience..."

Regarding the tense usage, change jobs that have ended to past tense because they happened in the past. So for the first job listed, change to:
- Supervised fabrication...
- Supervised perfect implementation... (even better if you vary your word choice, maybe "led" or "ensured")
- Worked extensively with Boeing...

For your previous position:
- Gained experience with the operation, maintenance...
- Managed electrical engineering team...

Does this help?
Best wishes,
Kim Isaacs
